The BCHBA is a trade association designed to protect and promote the home building industry while supporting builders, suppliers and subcontractors.

Through training, education and active participation is the legislative and regulatory process, our organization endeavors is to make membership an essential element of a successful building industry company. We re not a regulatory agency. The association is governed by a board of directors elected by members and the board directs the policies and operations of the association in accordance with its bylaws.

The association's policies and bylaws to not include any formal or informal process to settle disputes or complaints against industry members. However, those experiencing difficulties with home construction projects are welcome to share their experience with the board.

The BCHBA publishes a monthly NEWSLETTER with information updates concerning residential construction, local association information and a list of upcoming events. 

Why use a member of the BCHBA?  Our members have voluntarily chosen to belong to an organization dedicated to improving conditions within their sphere.   Generally, they are long-term members who have placed a personal value on supporting their livelihood and the building industry.  Our members are dedicated to the home building and remodeling industry and are committed to the goal of providing every citizen with decent, safe and affordable housing. Become a member of the BCHBA and have access to the most powerful, successful and influential people in our area!

The BCHBA, affiliated with the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) texasbuilders.org and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) nahb.org, is a voluntary organization striving to build positive and responsible growth in the home building industry.  We provide the opportunity for our members to display their products and services and invite the public to examine them.  This association makes no guarantee, expressed or implied, regarding their products and services and all visitors to this site are encouraged to conduct their own background investigations.

Abilene is proud to recognize our NAHB Student Chapter chartered in September 2008 - Texas State Technical College (Breckenridge), 307 N Breckenridge Ave, Breckenridge, Texas 76424. (254-559-6556) Students and faculty are invited to attend monthly luncheons and participate in HBA activities and community projects. NAHB Student Chapters have gained a reputation for being an excellent source of highly qualified employees for positions in residential construction and trades. Since 1971, the NAHB Student Chapters Program has been preparing students for careers in construction. Current Chapter President is Daniel Click; Vice President, Jake Schwartz; Secretary, Brad Kirk; Treasurer, Juan Gomez; Primary Faculty Advisor, Mike Griffith; Secondary Faculty Advisors Roger Geer and Terry Loetz.
